Modeled after the popular Grand Symphony body style, the GS Mini-e RW is a portable guitar that has surprised us at Sweetwater with its big sound. Typically we expect small sounds from small guitars, but thanks to the luthiers at Taylor, the GS Mini-e RW bucks that trend. The Sitka spruce top, layered Indian rosewood back and sides, and ebony fingerboard give the GS Mini-e RW a rich and full sound you will love. And with the built-in ES2 electronics, the GS Mini-e RW is ready for plugged-in performances too!

Taylor's award-winning GS Mini-e RW is a scaled-down version of their ever-popular Grand Symphony guitar shape. With a total length of just over 36", the GS Mini-e RW is a guitar you can easily pack in any vehicle, haul on the subway, or even stow in overhead compartments on planes. Perfect for camping, festivals, or just hauling long distances, the GS Mini-e RW is a compact guitar with big tone that can go everywhere you go.

Traditionally, acoustic-electric guitars have employed under-saddle piezo transducers, but Taylor goes about it a bit differently. Their Expression System 2 uses a proprietary pickup behind the saddle. The pickup's three individually calibrated, precisely positioned piezo-electric sensors respond organically to the instrument's acoustic energy as it's transferred through the saddle. In concert with Taylor's custom-designed preamp (which delivers a 25% hotter signal), the result is a natural acoustic sound with incredible dynamic range and responsiveness to your pick or finger attack. Sweetwater's guitar gurus are mightily impressed with Taylor's Expression System 2. Whether you're onstage through a PA, plugged into an acoustic amp, or direct into recording software, the ES2 faithfully conveys the voice of a Taylor guitar.

Taylor has a reputation for quality guitars and materials and the GS Mini-e RW is no exception. This model features a real Sitka spruce top and laminate Indian rosewood back and sides. Both woods are durable and produce great tone. The spruce top has a bright, articulate sound with excellent note definition. The laminate Indian rosewood back and sides of the GS Mini-e RW deliver a great rich tone while adding durability and stability to the guitar. The ebony fretboard and bridge offer great tone and even more stability to this amazing little guitar.
